PC Place Support (Remote support is a fee-based service)
Purpose: For remote support without having to bring in
the computer (*Requires functioning internet connection)
- On your desktop, open "PC Place 2 Support" icon
- Click yes on "Allow Program to Make Changes"
- Read over the Disclaimer and terms of service, Click Yes to
allow
- Give the tech helping you the ID first then the Password.
If you don't have the PC Place 2 Support on the desktop or the
icon was deleted.
Option 1:
- Open the "File Explorer, Click on "Local Disk (C:)"
- Find "TeamviewerQS" and open double click to open
application.
- From there repeat steps 2 through 5.
Option 2:
- Follow this link in your web browser.
- https://www.pc-place.com/support
- Click "Run" and let the application open
- From there repeat steps 2 through 5.
CCleaner
Purpose: To clean junk and temporary files off your
computer.
Usage:
Make sure background programs are closed and all data is
saved.
- Open CCleaner.
- Click the "Analyze" button on the bottom left hand side of
the window. You might need to force close some applications to
finish the scan.
- Click 'Run Cleaner" button and wait for the scan to
complete. On the right you will see the total "Junk" files
removed.
- Next a summary window will pop up. confirm by clicking on
fix Issues.
Malwarebytes Anti-malware
Purpose: To scan for Malware (Viruses , Trojans, Spyware
etc.) On Demand Only.
Usage:
- Double click on the Malwarebytes Anti-malware icon on your
desktop.
- Click on the blue "Scan Now" button at the bottom middle.
- Once the scan finishes click the Quarantine All button on
the bottom left.
- When it finishes Close the program with the red X in the top
right corner.
**If Malwarebytes Is in trial mode asking to purchase, open
Malwarebytes and click the settings tab on the right, head to
theAccount Details tab, and Deactivate Trial on the bottom of
the page.**
